Barbie play date
Imagine you are on a Barbie play date in real life. So the goal of this design was to design the Barbie house and then place the Barbie in her house in the different roles she has to play. Playing Barbie dress up and Barbie playhouse in virtual real life....what fun it was. It could become a thing! True to Barbie's character, the main color palette was shades of pink and paired with white and neutrals. The style of course was feminine and Romantic! It's a small one bedroom apartment with a spacious open plan kitchen, dining, living room. And a wonderful outdoor living space with pool area

By entering the house through the romantic shell pink front door, you'll find the open plan kitchen/dining and living room.
This is the first dress up role for our Barbie. Let's call her Working at home Barbie. And show in this pictures how the kitchen island could become the home office to suit the modern style of the professional person today.
Pink office devices.....what else?
In the next pictures the kitchen island was transformed back into the place for cooking and baking.....and Barbie was dressed up for her role as the house executive!
Comfortable behind the counter and ready to cook up a storm.....
We now moved to the living room where Barbie the professional interior designer is looking proud and pleased of the work she's done....
The room has a distinct feminine and romantic vibe with it's shades of pink and just the kiss of black and bronze
Privacy screens with fluted glass was fitted between the kitchen/dining and living areas and also provides a striking vocal point.
She used interesting artwork with a little more color to bring extra life in the room.
This is the view out to the terrace from the dining room.
When the sun set.....the lights come out to play more softly softly.....

In this picture Barbie the fitness queen was introduced where she's busy with her strenuous exercise routine by the pool. Ready to jump in afterwards.
This picture is where the next dress up role of our Barbie is introduced: Moonlight Barbie......meeting up with Ken on a romantic date for which the table was set on the terrace.
They do make a lovely couple.....
