Hi there! I would love to help you out! ๐Ÿ˜Š There are a few ways you can create a lower level. If you are in the "Create Room" menu, you will find a "Sunken Ground" feature that lets you create a rectangular space that sits lower than the rest of the floor. You will be able to adjust the height of this area as well. However, it is limited in that it only creates a rectangular shape and doesn't work great if you are trying to put two different sizes of sunken ground side by side or if you want to remove the walls, say for something like an outdoor patio area.

The other option to create a lower area is using Interior Modeling 2.0. This option allows for much more customization. It is definitely more time consuming when you are first starting out and learning the tools, but it does get easier, and it lets you create a space closer to your vision.

If you are creating a lower interior area and you want to use Interior Modeling 2.0, you will need to first be in 2D and click anywhere outside of your design. You should see an option in the right-hand tool bar that says, "Edit Floor." When you click on this you are able to adjust your floor without changing where the walls are. This will leave an opening in the floor for you to create your lower level. Again this only allows for a rectangular cut-out, but you can build off of that shape with curved lines using Interior Modeling 2.0. It may take some trial and error to get it just right.

If you are doing an outdoor area, you won't need to edit the floor. You can just start building off of your design in whatever way you'd like and use the extrude tool to raise and lower portions of your creation, but remember that when you are in Interior Modeling 2.0, you are just seeing the outline of the floor plan, not the wall thickness. The best thing to do when starting out is to frequently go back and forth between your model and the standard view to check and make sure that everything is looking just how you want it.

Mary, you are always so kind! Thank you so very much!!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š Believe it or not, I started this space with an entirely different vision in mind. I was going to step out of my comfort zone and make it super quirky and colorful, but my brain just kept pulling me to something way more subtle. I will have to give the quirky style a try some other time. ๐Ÿ˜†
