#OceanContest Ocean Themed Contest Entry by Beatrice Esan
This blue and white classic design was chosen to best reflect an oceanic theme. The blue accents reflect aquatic life, with views of the ocean from the large floor to ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light.
I divided my floor plan into four rooms; the living room, bedroom, kitchen with dining area, and bathroom. The living room is the biggest room in the house. I chose this room as the focal point of my design. It has three floor to ceiling windows that look out onto beautiful views of the ocean.

The cool blue tones of the living room against the white backdrop really give the room a marine, ocean-like feel.
In some places, a bathroom is referred to as a "rest room", and I tried to incorporate that concept into my bathroom design. This is a place to relax, and the soothing ocean blues definitely contribute to this vibe.

I really like the blue wooden paneling and floorboards in this bathroom. They give of a continuous sense of serenity throughout the entire room.
Nothing quite beats waking up in the morning to stunning ocean views. I wanted to bring the ocean into the bedroom too, by incorporating blue accents and furniture into the design. The ocean theme is seamless throughout.

The kitchen is often referred to as the heart of the home. This is where meals are cooked and eaten and memories are made. I wanted this kitchen to have a cosy inviting atmosphere, while also incorporating an ocean theme that matches the gorgeous view from outside the large, floor to ceiling window.

I like the blue back splash and matching cabinets, it goes really well with the beautiful view.
