Imagine being a girl who secretly still wants to play Barbie Barbie! Imagine you designing a house for this Barbie doll, but also secretly for yourself! Dreaming of a day living in the city in the gorgeous apartment of your dreams. This girl dreamt dreams of graphic black and baby blue so they used that as the color scheme and applied it in different textures and shades. The footprint of the apartment is that of an open plan living room /kitchen/ dining room with an added loft space on top where a bedroom and bathroom was fitted.

One space used to the maximum! The added value of a loft extension where a bedroom and bathroom was fitted, turned the space into a highly sought after and comfortable place to live in. Indeed the dream space of any Barbie doll lover! The style was kept young and modern with a touch of glamour.

Hallway/bathroom
This is the small hallway on the lower level. Glass doors were fitted to lead out on the small balcony.
Views out on the balcony and from there down onto the city.
The color scheme of charcoal, grey and baby blue so striking!
In the same space on the loft area was the bathroom fitted, using the same footprint but also continue the striking wall finishes.
Living Room/bedroom
The kitchen area on the lower level. The kitchen was fitted on a raised floor area along with the dining area.
The kitchen with it's modern colors and appearance is nothing like grandma's kitchen at all!
From the dining area there's the city views on one side, but also the spiral staircase leading the eye up and up and up!
The spiral staircase leading up the the loft area turned out to be a mayor focal point and the hero of the apartment!

Of course Barbie made her appearance!
The baby blue sofa perfect for the spot. And for watching your favorite show on the telly from different angles.
This is the bedroom fitted up the stairs in the loft area.
Imagine lying in bed and this is the view that surrounds you!
The bedroom was fitted with enough storage space and a big mirror to maintain the image of Barbie!
Even going down the stairs in this apartment is a journey! And this concludes the story of the dream house that was designed for the girl who still loves to play with her Barbie doll!!

Ohhh who wouldn't love this Barbie dream house! So many super cool details and beautiful colors! I love the spiral staircase and the pergola-type structure outside. And that bedroom!! I want that bedroom! So cozy, so beautiful! The kitchen is gorgeous! You did an amazing job with this tiny apartment!

What a dazzling transformation and such a sleek high end look for this very lucky Barbie. Glorious colour combination and sleek good looks for the ultimate in city living. The whole property has me wanting to move Barbie out and ME in!!!!. Such clever use of space and a dazzling décor those blues produced... i loved the kitchen especially. FABULOUS makeover Hester and an apartment to admire ... now where are MY keys.
