Parker wanted a holiday home on the edge of the ocean....using the Cape Cod style. The color scheme was centered around blues and whites and they concentrated on natural elements as far as possible. Unfortunately in the rendering process a few finishes got lost in translation...and a few more
Cover & Introduction
Lots of seating with floor pillows......and enough storage. The wall to wall carpet for the comfort of using the floor space for seating and playing.
Shades of blue and white.....textures with bead board on some walls.....
This room is called the bunk room.....with bunk beds for maximum sleeping guests....and it was styled as a playroom for the children.
In this photo......see the floor tiles lost in translation.......
The custom made navy blue front door opens up into a spacious entrance hall which have access to the main bedroom, the big open plan living space and the big windows with views onto the spacious porch.
And there....the white wall which was supposed to be a beautiful blue wall paper......but the fresh white is not such and unhappy mistake.....
The main bedroom with an exotic collection of memories from the ocean. And the shades of blue so well applied.....well....except for the very well chosen wall paper which refused to show up at the feature wall behind the bed.......
This is the view into the bathroom from the side of the dressing room....
At the end of the bathroom is the dressing room.....and on the way, pass the toilet and shower cubicle.....hidden away in there own little niches.
And this is the daylight view of the soaker tub.....
The night view of the custom made vanity station....with the softest of light giving a romantic glow..
The main bathroom. I tried everything to rename this space, but it stayed unnamed in the books of the design platform. This is the night render of the marble cladded soaker tub. The ideal place for a tired mommy to hide from the rest.
Living and Dining Room
See the beautiful glass lights.....they used a company who made this customized glass bowl lighting....and spread them through the house in different shapes.
The view to the patio.....from the comfortable seats of the dining table.....The summary aroma of fresh peaches.....who can resist?
This is the soft glow of the night views in the room.....
She loved the ambience of the blue palm trees on the walls.....she could not resist to use it on all four walls. But unfortunately the blue tiles of the inlay at the fire place decided not to turn up......Luckily there are enough interest of pattern in the room.......
Plenty of seating in the kitchen and dining area with the extra built in islands. It is also very convenient for serving food to a lot of guests. Oops....and on the table a floating teapot......
The kitchen....nestled in between the living room and the dining room.....and blue and white tiles.....of course!!
This is the magic of the navy and white tiles......she love the way it looks in the room.
In the second bathroom they custom made this vanity.....in a style that allows four people to brush teeth and wash faces at once......
Soaker tub and shower......
Enough plants to create a lush green feeling with the blue and white color scheme.
A seating area in a closed corner on the patio.
Glass doors that lead out onto an expansive patio which stretches along the whole breadth of the space. Enough seating for al fresco dining and sitting outside. Direct access to the sand and sea.....but unfortunately not available to showcase as the outside space did not want to loose it's ceiling.
