This was my first double storey design, so I was excited for the challenge. I loved how high the walls were, how open the space was and how much light I managed to bring into the space.
A walk-in closet was the perfect addition to this room. The walk-in was a great way to show how open the space could be and how versatile the design is.
The white brick wall was a feature in the loft, so I kept the rest of the room simple with its accessories. Black and grey colours were used all over. A wall-to-wall carpet softened up the harsh black metal windows.
The master bedroom was made to feel lush and masculine. I brought in as much light as possible but also wanted to maintain the use of dark and warm colours. The suite stand was an important accessory in the corner of the room.
Plain black and white framed photograph gave the room its mature finish.
The home office provides the ideal space to work from home but still have a stylish look to the loft. Using pocket doors, the white brick feature wall and light paint colours gave the space a sophisticated feel.
The addition of a pool is what makes this balcony feel like an open garden, which is perfect in this city.
The pot plants in the corner create a feeling of garden escape. The chairs were placed to bring in a small and intimate entertaining area outside.
The balcony was created as a garden oasis. I used astroturf as grass and a brick wall to close off the balcony area.
