Country Formal
My lovely female client wanted a country style decor, but clean and sleek. Hardwood flooring is important to her throughout as she has many antique rugs she wants to use. She doesn't like alot of nick nacks, so she simply displays those things that are important to her.
Working through a floor plan
She loves the way mirrors bounce light around the room.
Then a place to do her personal business. The desk has such clean lines while the floral mirror adds some whimsy to the brightly colored paper and more serious Wardrobe.
Her own cozy sitting corner.
Lots of pillows in pink to coordinate with the pink floral bedside she chose especially to go with the needlework display over her headboard. Multiple shades of wood to keep that country feel alive.
The curtains around the bed reminiscent of those found on colonial estates, The delicate embroidered drapes gave her room a beautiful touch of feminine.
In her bedroom, she wanted a more glamorous formal country.
Adding frilly, elements to her formal dining room gives her the formal feel she is looking for. She loves window seats to display decorate pillows and allow for additional, more comfortable seating during conversations after meals.
She wanted lots of mirrors to bounce the light around and crystals from all the lights. She is a country cook and loves to entertain with lots of sparkle.
One simple hutch is all she needs to hold her dishes and crystal. The all wood chairs add warmth to the space.
She loves patterns in her dining space, so the country wallpaper and curtains went well with her antique area rug. Simple white table cloths then add that touch of formal she loves.
Her china is also plain white to enhance that formal experience.
Little pops of crystal throughout bounces the light around the room.
Gorgeous lighting, classic wallpaper, comfortable robes and a soaking tub!
Her guest room is glamorous yet functional! Classy, yet comfortable! A formal country dream bathroom!
The green plants are added to give a natural feel to her room.
Her living room is crisp and clean. Simple color on the walls, same hardwood flooring and an area rug with very little pattern. She loves dark wood and utilizes it well throughout the space.
Her blinds give her privacy while her curtains give her frilly formal. Simple lines on her white furnishings are classic.
Comfy pillows and throw are added to the sofa for comfort. Ceiling fans for air movement.
The dark appliances coincide with the dark wood and brings a sense of cohesion to the space.
She loves nooks and crannies as any country lover does.
Each space generously open to the next.
The eating area is simple and clean. Minimalist country style chairs and dark wood table and hutch.
The hardwood beams under the abundant light.
She loves the cross back chairs and country lights over the expansive island.
She wanted a classic country kitchen but she loves the open shelf look, so I gave her both. A bit of cupboard space to hide those things you don't want to see each day, and open shelves for her pretty dishes and decor items.
Open to the kitchen, this space is great for entertaining.
A big window to her vast landscape, a bit of green to bring the earth indoors and one of her fine collectible rugs finish the space.
Large Jacuzzi Tub with shower door, full length mirror and small bench for ease. Small but effective decorative pieces add to her formal country look.
The master has 2 vanities for personal space. Large mirrors and overhead lighting.
Simple lighting for added comfort.
Simple artwork above the bed and a beautiful, yet functional bench at the foot.
Dark furnishings against the small print wallpaper and antique white mirror with just a few of her most personal items.
Classic country curtains and rug add simplicity to this room! A comfy chair and ottoman for guests to sit and read next to the large windows.
