Day 6 of #40days challenge w/Malak &friends
Tiring from the day as well as her gruelling long airplane flight, Shona left to get some rest. I continued strolling after bidding her goodnight and I decided to check out this unique little place that had just opened up.
It was a Futuristic Restaurant totally run by I don't know, Androids, Robots, AIs and totally technology driven. Everything was digital. It was such a a Futuristic concept, had to pop in take a look for myself.
The waiters and hostesses were all robotic. A very large AI robot served as the front door host and welcomed patrons then asks 'how many are in your party' and stuff like that.
I said "party of one" and the darn thing asked me "would I like to be paired with another single diner?". I was surprised by the question and said "No."
Then the tall robot asked me my name and then told me to "please wait for your servers to call your name and escort you to your table."
After a minute or so, another robotic rolled up and announced, "Sharon party, your table is ready. Please push the 'Enter button' on my kiosk and follow me to your table. My name is Fontain11 and I will be your server this evening!".
And so, I pressed the 'Enter button' as diected. My waiter came right up to me, said"Welcome Sharon please follow me" & when we arrived at one of the smaller off camera tables, Fontain11s blue chest monitor flashed a green screen and he said, "You have arrived at Table 5, please be seated.".
Once I sat, the table itself lit up, probably weight activated by me sitting in a chair. The lit table turned into some kind of cool monitor with a touch menu that I could tap to create my order. I could add, delete, double, and super size items all at the touch of a button.
I caught a glimpse of the kitchen & saw humans like me were back there cooking & placing food on magnetic trays for the servers to deliver. #WeNeedHumans
