Nope, they don't build them like this anymore so we must preserve them and pamper them and cherish them. With luxurious old time beauty inside and outside that include circle drives, fountains, marble staircases, large elaborate tiles, high ceilings, (real) hardwood floors, almost floor to ceiling windows and large sconces lit tiled hallways, these beauties exude regal magnificence.
Yes, they have 100 year old home problems like radiator heat and fuse boxes, but many have some modern elements as well like washers, dryers and dishwashers! And the construction is rock solid able to shake off any natural elements,wind, rain, hail, sleet,etc. and come right back to its firm glory.
Traveling, living or working in a Historical area is like living in a dream world. Even the stores are vintage. And the elaborate old fashioned designed streets, homes, apartments, stores and churches are awesome sights to behold!
