Building a basement with 1.5m under the ground and 1.5meter above.

Hello,

I have an issue of building a basement 3m ceiling height but 1.5m under the ground, means the first floor should be 1.5m above the ground. I need to know how to do that because this will affect the exteriors of the building and also the outside area. Please support. Thank you,

Thanks Grace, will try your suggestions and see the final look..@ Grace Simmons
Or you can create 1st floor with added height of the basement and then use custom modeling to create a platform for the entire 1st floor. When using HS you have to be creative in designing in order to get real world aesthetics. Sometimes you can eliminate real world requirements and get the same look. If this has not been a help, try HS 'learn' page under resources, YouTube with 'homestyler' in search bar or their own YouTube channel. Look through the gallery and see if there is a design close to what you want and ask the designer for tips & tricks.

In order to get the 'look' you want, make sure that your 1st floor plan is very close to complete. Changing any outside walls after you have added floors may be very difficult to adjust so they line up correctly. Create your basement at the desired height that will show from the outside. HS will only allow you to go as low as 5'(?), any lower and you will have to make all the walls desired height by using the partial feature for each wall. Then go to 1st floor and use the 'floor edit' to remove floor over the basement area you want to see.
